RanBlock is a free, no-frills Windows program to generate randomized block designs for pharmacological trials. Generated block tables are copied to the clipboard as formatted RTF-text and can be pasted into word processors.
Installation: Unzip ranblock.exe to a directory of your choice and double-click it.

Running RanBlock
All fields with the exception of Password and Title are stored in the registry after the first run.
The password (at least 8 characters) is used as a seed for the random generator. You can use it to regenerate the same randomized block design at a later time.
All field have associated tooltips; the see them, move the mouse pointer over a field and hold it.
Cross-Over Designs
For cross-over designs, enter Placebo/MyDrug under Treatment1, and MyDrug/Placebo under treatment 2.
Preview
Press Show for a preview. If the button is not enabled, tab to the next field to enable the consistency check.
Table as pasted into MS-Word
Using Ctrl-V, the following table is pasted into an open document. The block items are separated by a tab. To convert the blocks to a table, use Table/Convert text to table in Word.
